My Thoughts on the Current Xbox Situation and Microsoft Gaming's Change of Leadership

Image
I am more of a PlayStation guy than an Xbox fan. However, recent changes have occurred within Microsoft Gaming and Xbox leadership, which my best friend Mink asked me to write my thoughts about. Xbox is a gaming brand owned by Microsoft's video gaming division, Microsoft Gaming. It mainly consists of a series of home consoles, as well as video games and online services, including the esteemed Xbox Game Pass, which is a subscription service that allows one to access more games on Xbox devices. With Xbox being introduced, I can cut to the chase. What Happened? As mentioned earlier, Microsoft Gaming's leadership has recently gone under major changes. The chief executive officer, Phil Spencer, has retired, and his deputy, Xbox President Sarah Bond, resigned, with not much explanation for why. Spencer was crucial for the company, having introduced the Xbox Game Pass, bought various video game developers and publishers for Microsoft, further developed Minecraft, launching the Xbox Ad...

Ramadan Mubarak! My Ramadan Resolutions

Image
Ramadan Mubarak to those reading this blog. I intended to put out my resolutions for having a productive Ramadan earlier before the Hijri month of Ramadan started a couple of days ago, but I was lazy, so I will put them out now. Complete my fast successfully everyday. Every day of Ramadan, from sunrise to sunset, I must fast, which means abstaining from eating food, drinking beverages, partaking in sexual intercourse, and partaking in sinful behaviour. I do this every Ramadan successfully, but regardless, I will still put it here. Praying as many of my daily prayers ( Salaat ) on time as possible. Unfortunately, due to school, I oftentimes miss some and have to recover them. Praying Tahajjud often. Tahajjud is a voluntary set of prayers consisting of at least two Rakat (unit of measurement for parts of a Salaat prayer) done late at night when most are asleep. It happens after Isha (the fifth and final Salaat prayer of the day) and before Fajr (the first Salaat prayer of the day...

The "Islamic Dilemma" Is a Joke

Image
Relatively recently, I have seen Christian apologists claim the Holy Quran, the Word of God, "affirms" the Bible and claims it is preserved, which is a situation they call the "Islamic dilemma." I am writing this blog since my philosophy teacher for my current high school semester, who is a Catholic Christian, attempted to tell a classmate inquiring about the "Abrahamic faiths" about this so-called dilemma, with me having to correct her after class hours on this. The Claim The claim relies on a misunderstanding of Verse 48 of the fifth chapter of the Quran, Surat al-Ma'idah. The verse is the following:

What Are "Western Values?"

Image
A common objection against Islam from Westerners, particularly socially conservative Americans, is that Islamic values do not comply with "Western values." I have always wondered what Western values are, particularly since it can seem like quite a subjective concept. This article focuses on Islamic values as I am a Muslim, although the idea of something "not being compliant with Western values" is sometimes used by social conservatives to denigrate other beliefs, such as socialism and LGBTQ rights movements. What Are "Islamic Values," and How Have They Been Implemented? Islamic values come from the Sharia, which in turn is derived from the Quran (a holy book) and the Sunnah (the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which are preserved in books of Hadith with unbroken chains of narration tracing back to the Prophet ﷺ), alongside other sources such as scholarly interpretation, logic, and local customs. Through the graphic above, we see the Quran al...
